Solver
Solver, an Excel add-in, helps you find a solution that satisfies all of the pre-set constraints and maximizes or minimizes the objective cell value by changing other cells. An example of using Solver is model fitting for least squares or L1-norm solutions. (My other book From Nutrition Facts to Recipe Formulas: A Geek’s Guide to Reverse Engineering Ingredients Quantities introduces the method of using Excel Solver for recipe reverse engineering and development.)
The Solver add-in could be installed by going to the Tools menu and then Add-ins.
